Don’t Drink … Gamble!

If you enjoy having a a cocktail from time to time, leave your money out of the casino if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your handbag, your billfold, and keep all cash, credit cards and checkbooks back at the hotel. Only take only the cash you expect to spend on drinks, tips and few dollars you expect to burn and keep the remainder behind.

Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You can experience a profit after a boozy evening out with your friends and be lucky enough to hit a long toss at a hot craps game. Keep that story considering that it’s as brief as it gets if you continuously drink alcohol and bet. These activities simply do not go well together.

Keeping your money back at the hotel is a bit dramatic, but defensive actions for drastic actions is required. If you play to profit, then do not consume alcohol and gamble. If you can afford to toss away your money without a worry, then consume all the complimentary booze your stomach are able to handle, but don’t carry credit cards and checkbooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your befuddled self throws away all the cash!

Allow me to carry this one step more. Don’t consume alcohol and then jump on to the internet to gamble in your best-liked casino either. I enjoy a drink from the coziness of my condo, however considering that I am linked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can’t drink alcohol and gamble.

Why? Although I do not drink to excess, once I drink alcohol, it’s clearly adequate to blur my common sense. I wager, so I don’t consume alcohol when betting. If you are a drinker, don’t wager at the same time. The two mix up for a dangerous, and crazy, cocktail.
